Job Description:

FinHero, a leading fintech startup, is seeking a talented and experienced DevOps Engineer to join our innovative team. As a DevOps Engineer at FinHero, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation, scalability, and reliability of our fintech platform. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions in the financial industry. 

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain the infrastructure and automation tools required for efficient and scalable software delivery, including continuous integration, deployment, and monitoring systems.

• Collaborate with development teams to optimize the software development lifecycle, ensuring streamlined build, test, and deployment processes.

• Configure, manage, and scale cloud infrastructure on platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, leveraging services like EC2, S3, RDS, and others.

• Implement and maintain containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes, to enable efficient deployment and management of microservices.

• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure compliance with best practices and industry standards for security, availability, and performance.

• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement proactive measures to optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.

• Implement and maintain robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions to protect critical data and ensure high availability.

• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management using tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet to achieve infrastructure-as-code and ensure consistency across environments.

• Stay updated with emerging DevOps trends, tools, and technologies, and propose and implement innovative solutions to improve the overall development and operations processes.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA engineers, and system administrators, to support and troubleshoot production issues and incidents.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role, preferably in a fintech or financial services environment.

• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, including infrastructure setup, networking, and security.

• Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.

• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell for automation tasks.

• Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.

• Strong understanding of CI/CD concepts and experience with build and deployment tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.

• Solid understanding of networking, security, and system administration principles.

• Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, ELK stack, or Splunk.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
